You are attending a 15 year old male patient in his family home who is complaining of stomach cramps.

When his mother leaves the room temporarily, he confides in you that he used amphetamines and alcohol for the first time at a party last night.

He is concerned about what is wrong with him but does not want you to tell his mother.

It is proposed that you should tell his mother about his drug and alcohol use in his best interests.
